I am attempting this one in the area of style and tire coverage. Has anyone in this whole Forum attempted this? I have a few ideas on the issue. I do know for a fact that none (no fender flares) are made for the kia sportage in any year! The 2002 had a body pack. option which comes really close; although they do not sell this item as an individual or aftermarket option. There are also crappy chrome 1/4 inch Ricer trim available from the factory (expensive). The bed liner spray for trucks was an Idea...but just an idea. The other would be to purchase true fender flares for like a chevy Z-71 and just trim and use adhesive, for a cost of nearly $350.00-----CRAZY!!! I also noticed that the front of the Sportage would be really easy to do...But the back may be an issue due to the rear door and freakin' bumper. Any ideas??????

JC Whitney has some universal black plastic ones. I'm not sure what they would look like on though. Might be "straight outa the trailer park" looking.

EGR I beleave also makes them. When I was looking way back when for flares I found them.

Got a local 4x4 accessories store to price them for me and if I remember right they were just under $300.00 for the set of 4 flares.

I think the JC Whitney flares are EGR

I'll see if I can find some old part numbers though.

Looking forward to seeing some pic's of the flares.Let us know how much of the flare you can trim off. Most of us don't have tires that stick out from the fenders.I was thinking of the bed liner paint or something like it,,(pur15,under coat spray)Good luck..

Were they for the sporty?or a fit all,cut to fit?I like your hood<<<< ( pur15 or por15 is a high priced paintover any metal and rust,it stops rust,At work we use it on parts that are under water most of the year, any good hardware store should have it,under coat spray is almost the same but its more for frames, and you need to clean off the rust frist,Better for inside the wheelwell, but I think the bedliner paint will work great,,Maybe)

My EGR fender flares are specifically made for the Sportage and stick out about 2.5" from the body. Check on eBay now and again for them. That's where I got mine. Although I got my new, you may be able to find used ones (but not likely).

The black on my hood is Line-X - freakin' indestructable. Worked great.

That's apparently my birthday present from my parents this year, so it will finally get done. Got involved in too many other expensive hobbies... (photography being the main one and a possible future carreer).

SOOOOoooo... Probably some time between now and April or so - HOPEFULLY it will be completed. ...after I replace my blown Warn hubs, worn idler arm, get new tires that actually work on icy, slick stuff, replace the radio antennae, the passenger side windshield washer sprayer, the driver's side side mirror, both visors, and a few other minor things. )
