For a Trooper I recommend the Hidden Hitch brand. The crossbar tucks up behind the bumper, very clean look. You can install yourself, pretty easy.

For wiring by far the easiest is to get a Hoppy wiring harness, it will plug-n-play into the pre-existing connector on the Trooper, which can be found behind a large rubber plug up under the drivers side rear fender. You have to lay on the ground to see it, just pull out the plug and the connector will come with it.
