Has anyone seen or replaced the upper hard doors with soft upper doors while still using the hard top? My upper hard doors are almost unsalvageable and cost way too much for me to replace them. I can afford the soft upper doors and was wondering if the doors would even close and seal decently enough to even bother with.

Thanks in advance for any input.

There sure is a lot of difference in the two! I'd be looking around for some more hard ones.

I've ran the soft uppers with my hard top. They stop the majority of the wind, but nothing close to sealing well. I wouldn't want them in a heavy rain storm...

What's wrong with your current ones? I sold a set on ebay a while back. brand new. Went for $800. I would try my best to salvage mine or get some that aren't perfect and fix 'em.

I check with ToyBoxJeeps in Daytona Beach a lot for things like this. I drive up to them from time to time for opinions of things I am thinking about on the my CJ7. toyboxjeeps.com Their site is generic, but they are good people. They can ship it to you in GA; give them a call if you feel up to it and chat.

Heck, if nothing else, check out the site for the frame off restorations they have done!

Thank you all for the input. There are some junk yards around here, but no Jeeps in them.

I think that I will be trying to fix my current ones. They are splitting in two, the inner part is separating from the outer part. I will try to reinforce them with some wood, Screws, and Gorrilla glue.

GOOP is a brand that I use on EVERYTHING! It is clear and holds better than any other glue I have ever used that was not a 2-part.
