Auto-Zone sells the Bosch "mag core" wires for about $35. These are a good wire and they will not wear out like OE unless you physically abuse them. The only OE part I wont consider buying is Plug wires because fiberglass just isn't a good conductor. Schucks/Kragen sells their Borg/warner Nascar wires which are just re-badged Bosch "mag cores" but they come with a lifetime warranty for like $25. You may just want to head to your favorite parts house with an ohm meter and start checking resistance till you find a good brand. You will get the best spark performance with a spiral wound wire as opposed to the fiberglass coated with carbon type.

If you are considering replacing your cap and rotor I would suggest buying something of good quality. OE is good for cap and rotor as is "Standard motor" products, I think Napa sells some high quality units as well. Most mass market parts houses will stare at you funny when you specify a brand for a cap and rotor but don't let them sell you the cheap junk. If you have a Carquest around I would point out that all of the Carquest brand cap and rotors are indeed "Standard Motor" Products. Last time I bought a cap and rotor for my 3.0 I think the price difference between el-cheapo Auto-Zone junk and "Standard motor" was like $4-5 on the cap and $2 on the rotor. Its well worth the extra money.
