little_joe & kewlynx are in agreement (Brian seems to think they are saying different things?)- basically the minis will be split between '95 and earlier and '96 and later. If you've built a "mutt," then you get to visit more forums.

Sounds like T100/Tundra may remain separate from TLC's though, according to the thread in T100/Tundra...

Yeah - I must be reading things completely wrong... I'm easily confused, though. I'm reading that we'll have forums based on engine: the 2.7 forum, the 3.4 forum, the 22re forum, etc. That precludes the ability to ask vehicle generic questions (I have a question about an 88 4Runner that has nothing to do with the engine... where do I put it? the 3.0 forum or the 22re forum?).

I think the change makes sense. There seem to be many things that come up that really don't matter if it's a 4runner or pickup (at least when it's 1995 or earlier).

What I'd like NOT to see is an overly complicated breakdown of different boards like other vehicle forums I use (not necessarily Toyota). For example, some of them might be so complicated that there could be 4-5 different forums to post a question for a 1985 toyota pickup (and I begin forgetting which boards I put my posts on....). Call me old.

Brian, yeah slight misunderstanding here.

The Early Toy Trucks will be for *ALL* topics related to Toys that originally came with a 20R/22R/3VZE and front leafs or t-bars.

4R and Taco will be for these models that originally came with the 2.7L, 3.4L, or V-8 4R, again all questions welcome.

Now that I'm typing this, we may not have to reorg much, if at all. The T100 Board will remain as is. This board is for old junk. It *may* make sense to just aggregate Tacoma/4Runner into one forum since they have so many similarities (just like early minis and 4R's).

i.e. 79-95 pickups/4Runners.

i.e. 95.5 - present pickups/4Runners

Make a Tundra/T-100 (Toyota full-size Forum)

Plus a Land Cruiser forum.

That covers it all.

And it's MUCH simpler.

Joe,

Your idea sounds great. Even thouugh I don't post on this board much, I look at it at least weekly and almost daily. I think how you have it broken down with thhe 1995 and earler (Pre-Tacoma) and 1995.5 and newer (Tacoma) is very logical.

So where do non-engine related questions go? For people doing engine swaps? For T-100 folks who have 3.0's and 3.4's?
...
If someone does a very nice build on an 85 4Runner and it's a well documented and followed thread... it would go in a 22re section, correct? Where does it go when he/she swaps in a 2.7? 3.4? 3.8? 4.0? 4.3? 5.7??? The truck is still an 85 4Runner, but now the thread no longer fits the criteria that you've laid out for where it should go... who moves it?

It means I traverse more forums... but that would be the exception rather than the rule. NP.

I agree with the break down it makes sense maybe not for all but even accents i.e. my 320 hp v8 don't make my 84 Toyota parts any different and i know it's got 84 shell with huge hp and better than stock guts maybe the breakdown only needs a highly modified section where modifiers can look chat about their mods good and bad i just got here and love this i can give my experience and learn some new stuff myself and learn from u all of you!!!
thanks for the forum guys great job keep it up !!
