I think I'm using standard speaker wire for it. It's been so long I'm not sure if I'm running it off of a relay or not. I don't think I am though, just ignition switched power. I'm not running a regulator either.


Pinging at 2 deg??? Thats not right at all. I mean at all. Even my Dad's 86 with 200k on the bottom end doesn't do that. I think I'm running 7deg+ I run 7-10 with my truck w/ my advanced cam gear. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/drunk.gif" alt="" /> You may be having some carbon buildup or simply running lean. What do your plugs look like?


When the engine is warm and running, place your hand over the carb intake. When you cut off some air, does it speed up, slow down or die alltogether? I'm really curious to know.

I know it's not that great of an indicator but where is temp needle at normal operating temps?



I still think your stalling is related to your fan going out. That just are really wierd coincedence.
