I have a K&N air filter for a 90 Amigo. Round slightly tapered style. What else will it fit?

Where's all my first-gen gurus that know what airboxes are on what vehicles? I'm talking about a stock replacement here, not a cone.

To the best of my knowledge, it should fit any 2.6 factory air box pre-93. That's when they switched to the bigger throttle body and intake tube. Not sure if the airbox itself remained the same or not. I know the MAF sensor changed, but not sure about the box itself.

that seems to be right around the time I disappeared for awhile...

Ha.

A while?

A while is like, "I went to the shore for the weekend" or "I'll be taking off for a week to go and play with Mickey Mouse for vacation".

You, my friend, dropped off the face of the planet. Although, it is about time for your your annual surfacing.

Glad to see you are alive. Maybe we will see you in Moab, although, there is little chance of me getting there anytime soon.

HTH
Michael

PS:

As for that air filter, get off your duff, find an air filter listing and cross reference the darn thing.

The tranny doesn't shift because it is probably full of water, from the looks of it.

Shipping tires can be done FedEx. Just slap the label on each one. No box needed. You may have to break down the tires and wheels. Tires usually go for about $25/ea per FedEx. Wheels will be a bit more.

The CV's should work on any 2nd gen vehicle with the longer CV's. IIRC, the "hub nut" appeared around 2002.

The driveshafts are going to be only worth what someone wants to pay AND they need them.

For the front CV shafts, they are running anywhere from $50 or so on up on car-part,com. $75 seems like a fair price, but you might not get too many bites if you start that high.

Front Driveshafts for Amigos and Rodeos also run in the $50 - 150 range. IIRC, I paid $75 or $80 (no shipping) when I needed to replace mine a few years ago. Also, it *looks* like an AT and MT might have different shafts?!?!?

I love the swiss cheese wheels, but not as much as the 2gen wheels.

good luck getting rid of the parts.

(oh, and not to make you feel too old, but did you know both my kids have been driving for about a year now? )

I have a rear driveshaft for a 90 Amigo. Slip yoke tranny end. 5-spd (obviously).

Com'on 1st-gen gurus... What year Amigos had the slip yoke?

1st gens came with slip yokes from '89-early '93. The fixed yoke was in late '93 and '94 only as far as the 5-speeds go. I can't speak for the elusive 2wd autos; but that driveshaft probably wouldn't work for them regardless.

...they're Gen-X Exxen knockoffs, and the tires are Goodyear Eagle GTII's. The size was correct. Not entirely sure of the offset/backspacing but they gave the Rodeo a wide stance IIRC. They're also 6-on-5.5.

For ages I've known better than to read the forums while taking a sip of my morning coffee - but this morning I let my guard down, and sure enough, that one right there resulted in a French-Roast Columbian Sinus Flush

Nope, just a quick hose-off to get the buildup of leaves off the dolly... I promise this one wasn't the one that was in my 98 Amigo when it went for a swim back in 99... Can't seem to find a pic of that one, but it's been awhile....

Thanks for the info. I actually spoke to someone today with some experience shipping large truck parts -- he said my best bet is to have the buyer set up shipping with a local dropoff point. Even better.

Cool...

Thanks for the info Michael -- I still think of you every time I tell someone that they used to diagnose diabetes based on sugar crystals on someone's shoes.

And for all the rest of you jokesters...

I was actually thinking something more like this....

Did someone say Uzi? How many of you actually have proof of Uzi on a trail??

Hey Randii! How's everything?

I guess that just makes me old, huh?

<Edit> -- That last one's an interesting pic there, huh? There's a semi-clear face-shot of Randii, with I believe Craig Eldridge in the foreground, one of them Mason kids that's now been driving for over a year off to the right, and way off in the distance, Michael Wood's Amigo before it grew UP. In front of Michael's truck, I believe that's Dana Williams sitting with Peter's dog, Gage. Not sure who's taking the photo off to the left, but it might be Travis (can't recall the last name at the moment). Above that, I can at least identify Todd Adams in the light blue shirt and white hat, and I'm almost positive that's Jeff Mason in the top photo with the wolves on his t-shirt. Almost feels like Romper Room -- I see Randy, and Todd, and Jeff, and... But I guess that makes me old too.
