Change the hubs anyway . Like the Chili dude says , less wear on moving parts , thats a good thing. Go to a yard and pick a pair off an old SA. Just got a set myself for the wifes 95gg and swapped it out for 20$.

fogive my ignorance, what is an old SA? and how do I know I'm getting the right ones that will fit? I can take apart anyhting and put almost anything back together but want to make sure I'm getting the right things? This will be for a 94' 4x4? Thanks

Solid Axle (SA) hubs won't work - different spline count. You'll need manual locking hubs from an 86-95 IFS truck.

Independant Front Suspension. (CV Joints and boots)

I got my hubs from JCWhitney. Going on 8 years now. Put them on at about 70k and currently have 149k on the truck.

Forgive my ignorance too. The ones I installed did come off a ifs runner, not an 84-5.

Thanks for catching that bkg, lucky for Mark
