It's Just NOT going to happen unless you do the following.

Get something capable of producing 300-350 Ftlbs....Get Axles capable of handling 38's(D60's/Portal/Rockwell).. Install appropriate gear ratios, and THEN bolt your 38's on.

Who's broken mitsu axles with 35's other than uncle frank? Even lloyd doing trails most would say Montero's have no business being on hasn't broken axles except the fronts and he's even indicated it's avoidable if you know what you're doing.. Heck, even Kary note's the same.
