Can anybody tell me the size of the Banjo bolt on the fuel rail that I'd need to hook up a fuel pressure gauge? I think it is an M8 x 1.0 and I have seen one from OTC that appears to have a standard schrader valve type connector on one end for a normal pressure gauge. Has anybody used one? Can this type of adapter be used permanently for installation of a sensor & gauge? I'd like the ability to hook up a test gauge, but ultimately I'd like to have one permanently installed in the cab. I read that many people apparently drilled & tapped part of the fuel rail on 22RE engines so perhaps I could do that, but this looks like it might work well. http://amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_auto/...;amp;Go.x=0&Go.y=0&Go=Go

Sorry, don't have that info on my web site. Easy to find out, pull the bolt and check the size. I drilled and tapped the end of the fuel injector rail for a fuel pressure sender.

Why not just drill and tap the bolt you have, or go to a P-N-P and for two dollars you can have as many that will fit into your pocket, do not forget to take a wrench!!!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I picked up some crush washers, so I pulled the bolt (driver's side fuel rail) and determined that it is an M12 x 1.25 in case anybody ever needs to know.
Tapping the fuel rail on this engine would require removing a lot more stuff than I want to pull off right now and even then there doesn't look like there is much room for a fitting. Drilling out the banjo bolt might be a possibility. Picking one up from a junkyard is a good idea in case things don't work out.
Thanks for the replies. Anybody know a good source for crush washers?

Are they solid copper washers? If yes all you have to do is, re-anneal them. To do that hang them on a bent coat hanger, heat them with a propane torch until cherry red and let cool. That makes them "dead-soft" again and brings the sealing back to them. I have been doing it for years on solid copper head gaskets gas and oil lines on antique motorcycles. Have to it is really hard to find parts for 1913 Indian MC's
