Getting the Wheeling Fever
I think I remember reading about a longer probed oxygen sensor that can be used with an aftermarket exhaust header.
I need to replace my O2 sensor and would prefer to get the right one.
Is there such a thing or am I going crazy?
Thanks for any input,

Tye

Factory Toyota is longer than some after market. I don't know which brand Toyota is currently using, but check with the dealer or compare the two parts before installing.

I've used generic bosche... Just wire it appropriately.
Best spot for the 02 is at the collector.

Thanks guys,
Which header are ya'll running? I am running the Hedman header and it has the O2 bung in it already. The stock O2 sensor does not fit in the bung (sensor is too large). Plus, getting one from the stealership would be waaay too expensive.
I'm hoping to find one on e-bay, so I would kind of like to know of a specific brand which may have the longer probe.
I'll see if I can't dig up some specifications on different sensors.

I have an LC Engr. header. I tried an NTK sensor and it has a smaller OD snout than the OEM Denso unit. I found it did not stick into the gas stream as far as the Denso unit (the LC flange sits off the header tubing a fair amount). I still have the NTK sensor if you are looking for one. It is a 1-wire unit w/ OEM connector.

Thanks Roger,
I beleive I have the same problem with the flange sticking out quite far. I may just remove the header and re-drill the flange to accept an oe style sensor. I am a firm beleiver that the farther into the stream it is the better.

On a side note Roger,
I am still having shifter issues (automatic keeps shifting into neutral when flexing in 4low). Where would you recommend I purchase new motor and tranny mounts? Would you go poly or rubber?
Thanks,

Tye
