I beleive I have the same problem with the flange sticking out quite far. I may just remove the header and re-drill the flange to accept an oe style sensor. I am a firm beleiver that the farther into the stream it is the better.

On a side note Roger,
I am still having shifter issues (automatic keeps shifting into neutral when flexing in 4low). Where would you recommend I purchase new motor and tranny mounts? Would you go poly or rubber?
