R&R'd the junk 22R with a spare 20R and ran it for the 1st time today on my project '80 4X4 Longbed. Fantastic. Never had a rebuild like this before. Even the distributor was found to be on 8 DTDC! Yeah it was stiff at first: new pistons and all. But even the valves are quiet. WOW!! I almost sold that engine last summer ! You can always tell a non-pro mech huh? Anyway, you guys have helped me many times here. Thanks so much! Just one other request (for now): Anyone have a 20R air cleaner & canister they wanna sell? 1980 with smog pump inlets would be great, but could probably fabricate if not. Thanks again.
