Do the Rodeo's and Troopers use the same rear axles? I am looking at an 1991 Trooper and a wrecked 1995 Rodeo... I want to swap the drivetrain from the Rodeo into the Trooper.

Nope, the Trooper has an Isuzu 12-bolt and the Rodeo has an D44.

They use the same driveshaft flanges so you can use the rodeo driveshaft on the 12 bolt, assuming its the same length which It should be

Be aware of brake differences, the Rodeos were rear drums, no? Just something to think about, not sure if the e-brake cable will be a bolt on, etc.

I think 91-92s, and possibly 2wds have drum brakes. The rest got discs.

Ah...and the 91-92's were the GM 10-bolt IIRC? Good info.

That is correct. The only Rodeos to come with drum brakes are the GM 10 bolts and the 98 and up 2wd's had drums.

The 1st gen Rodeo in 2wd may have drums but I've not messed with any 1st gen 2wd's to know.
