If you don't know the age of your brake fluid, then yeah, your best bet is to flush the system or bled the old fluid out while feeding the reservoir with fresh fluid,[DOT 4]. This way your Great White North vehicle won't suffer any frozen moisture in the brake system[sorry, could resist the old SCTV joke <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shiner.gif" alt="" />] Water in the brake system is no fun......

I went over a snow mound and when I came down, the front right wheel sprung a brake leak. It looks like it is coming from the connection where the hard line meets the soft. Not good with the snowy roads right now. Going to have it looked at when it dries out in the garage.

Thank goodness for an amazing service garage. IF anyone here is close to Kitchener, Ontario, go to the Mufflerman on Highland and Westmount. They have done almost all of the work on my truck and have saved me 100's of dollars in pain and suffering!

They were able to cut a new end on the brake line as the coiled up line inside the engine bay was still perfect compared to the corroded part that was exposed in the wheel well. This was where the pin hole leak was.
