it means i had the transmission in neutral when i tried it. putting it into gear made the wheels rotate in opposite directions. so it is open.

as for that particular fuel injection... they seem to be the only ones offering a complete turn key kit. fuel injection verses carburetor... i live in texas and this truck will be making several trips per year to 7000+ feet. i do not want to have to tinker with jetting or even the remote possibility of it flooding in high altitude while trying to start it in the cold. i am not married to affordable fuel injection. i would consider another setup that uses the GM throttle body, but i would prefer to purchase all of the pieces needed (throttle body, wiring harness, adapter plate to intake manifold, fuel pump, sensors etc...) from one place so when i install this i know they were all put together to work together. if there is someone out there doing this for the early trucks using megasquirt and the GM throttle body with the correct injectors and adapter plate to mount it to the early factory intake manifold, could you please send me a link? i will definitely look at them.
