the lt1 would be a better choice for 4wd vehicle b/c of the lower torque curve. ls1's like to rev.

I can't imagine anybody with an LS1 in their Toyota p/u worrying that they have too little torque.

And this from a Wikipedia article on the LS1: "The bore was reduced to 3.9 in and the stroke longer at 3.62 in for greater low end torque."
