I have been looking for a good oil filter for a good price and have found these guys on eBay (completefiltration). They can get me 12 filters (12 to save on shipping) for $269.95 US delivered to my home. If I did the math right then they would cost me just under $30 each Canadian with taxes. Is this a good deal? I donÆt know of anywhere else to get these in the Fraser valley (Vancouver region). I was also wondering if anyone close to me Fraser valley wanted to split the 12 up? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

that price is ok...its nothing to brag about though. I bought my baldwin BD28's at a tractor supply store for about $20-25.00 each (can't remember exactly). you should be able to find them over the counter there somewhere. just find out who the baldwin dealer is. I'm not sure if you guys get "traction" there or not but they are a pretty big company chain.

You are including tax and brokerage in the cost right? Just go to NAPA and order their filter. It works, it fits and it costs under $30.

Most large tractor and heavy equipment dealers carry Baldwin. For instance: Peterbilt carries them, Union tractor etc. That price ain't good enough to order a case for! The main site ( http://www.baldwinfilter.com/) has a dealer locator as well.

I am also in Vancouver. I buy WIX filters in Napa , they are $32 + tax, very good filters. Recently I so Fram Filters at Lordco, on sale $22, but I didn't buy it - bad quality. My last filter I bought in Richmond, in the store "Vancouver auto parts" They sell nice filters (made in Korea). Those filters have original Mitsubishi part #, and looks very good - just the same as WIX. The price was $22. Those filters are in Fram boxes, and are sold as Fram filters HP6355

My last filter I bought in Richmond, in the store "Vancouver auto parts" They sell nice filters (made in Korea). I wouldn't buy it just for that reason. made in korea has disaster written all over it. for a small part that will decide the life of your engine, just spend the money and get a good filter. there are much better filters out there than WIX aswell.

All my Wix filters so far were "made in Korea". They've been good to me...

16 years of driving and over 10 vehicles and I've never seen an oil filter related failure. I'm amazed at the effort and obsession people have with this particular auto part. I'm obsessive with changing the oil every 5000kms with a name-brand oil, which I figure is a lot more important than a filter with the same basic technology as I use to make coffee every morning. :P

true...but I've seen people run Fram filters with Quaker state oil and engines only lasting 100,000km and then having sever blow-by and just being worn out due to poor lubrication. and when you go to the auto-recker, look in the oil cap of engine and if you see a brown staind rocker assembly, that means quaker state right there, it leaves a buildup of $hit on your internals.
