16 years of driving and over 10 vehicles and I've never seen an oil filter related failure. I'm amazed at the effort and obsession people have with this particular auto part. I'm obsessive with changing the oil every 5000kms with a name-brand oil, which I figure is a lot more important than a filter with the same basic technology as I use to make coffee every morning. :P
