If you see the movie Children of Men there is a chase scene using a Gen 1 Montero / Pajero as the pursuit vehicle! I kid you not.

Ok the chase involves it rolling down a hill, not running and then crashing because they could not turn the wheel fast enough without power steering.. but it was a Montero used in a chase scene and it shos how well a Gen 1 will roll down a long steep hill without the engine running.

To be fair it had its ignition wires pulled by the good guy. The movie is bit unrealistice because it implies that before the ignition wires were pulled the Montero was running.

I posted this in the other movie thread. Don't you love how he pulls the wires out from the wrong side of the engine bay?

You can't tell me that wasn't a weird movie. (I want that dude Sid's truck)

Back on topic.. Yeah I'd say it's a Montero thing.. No one else would understand.

I'm just joking. I hope you can see that.

I gotcha, man...i added the at the end of my post before i left....just so everyone knows, the emoticon at next to the "-J" at the end of all my post tells what mood im in. means im joking. means im pissed, and is the one i use the most, which basically just means....kewl.

Us isuzu guys are just like mitsu guys when it comes to seeing our trucks published in magazines and stuff....

Just search +petersens +isuzu in the Isuzu forum and you'll see what i mean.

Oh, and the isuzu forum has a pretty long "Movie/TV isuzu spottings" thread too.

and explained the error

You mean the error of saying "Monteros" and "flex" in the same sentence?

FWIW, I love the Amigo (don't see many up here), but I don't think it looks like a Monty - its based off the Rodeo is it not, which to me looks like where Mitsu got the idea for the Sport/Challenger. Hmmm...

Actually ... the Rodeo is a lengthened Amigo if anything. The Amigo came out in 89. The Rodeo in either 90 or 91.
