I don't know how many of you there are but there are a few gun guys out there. Personally I think firearm ownership is a personal responsibility as well as I enjoy shooting for fun and am an avid hunter. I use all 3 of the following for hunting as well as the shotty is used for bear protection.

My SKS-D with a common fiberforce stock, bedded action, painted green and other minor tweeks. I like the stock but may shorten the pull by an inch or two.
-Its sitting on a rockmount bipod that I use on my mosin too.
-I really wanna remount the scope but and thinking of using the mount from Kalinka.

This is my Mosin Nagant. Numbers are all matching and the action is dated 1947. I baught the rifle in unissued condition and built it into an awesome bush gun that is great for 300m or less.
-Installed an Huber concepts trigger that is absolutely awesome, I can't say enough good things about huber, I love it. The pull is perfectly smoth and can be adjusted to less then a pound .
-The stock is an ATI monte carlo that I bedded the action in and relieved the barrel there are better stock but this one works good so far.
-The cheek rest is a fiberglass piece that I made so the cheek weld is perfect (for me anyhow ).
-Used Daves scout scope mount, it is far better then any other scout mounts that I found, it locks down nice and solid.
-Finally the scope is a bushnel 2-7 LER that I am quite happy with. I tried a cheeper one and it was a total waste of time and money.

Last but not least is my 870 express.
-18in barrel
-ATI stock (which I'm very happy with)
-I'd like to pick up a set of ghost ring sights and maybe a longer barrel for goose hunting.

I'm thinking of picking up a pistol in the future but am still non committal. Aah well thats me how show me yours.

My hunting rifle, Remington 7mm Ultra Mag, Stainless
The scope is Nikon Titanium. It's been worked over by a German US Army gunsmith, talk about the best of both worlds.

Rauch, I almost put that same stock on my SKS. I decided to go with the "Choate Dragonov". The front of the grip is screwed on after you insert the trigger, so your finger reach is not as long with the "Choates" I love SKSs. A friend of mine was in the Vietnam war. He said he has seen those things drenched in mud still firing rounds like they were just cleaned. Try that with an M-16.

Les. Nice bull barrel. 7mm Mag is great for dropping fauna. (in my best Robert Deniro impression)"one shot! one kill".

Body Damage is Cool
Here are five examples in my growing collection of M14 type rifles ...

Two are not pictured and I have an assortment of different stocks for all of them.

As you can see, 14s are my favorite, but I also have MAK90s, a 10/22, an HK/Benelli, an AR-10 and a pair of Glock 21s.
The weapons and magazines are fairly easy to find - Ammo is another story.

Buy it cheap and stack it deep

When I get home I will post up my arsenal.

I have my Super Shorty getting some custom work done on it at the moment, so no new pics of it.

I think its a volume thing. Since the middle east openend up milsurp has gone up in price and availability has dropped significantly. This has driven up prices of commercial ammo.
