It just arrived last week from the CMP. It's a USGI field grade, sent my order in late October and just got it last week. It's a post-war Springfield, in better condition than I expected based on CMP's description. The park is real nice but the gas cylinder shows a little more wear than the other metal. All the parts I could identify so far are SA, except for the HRA bolt. Stock has some dings and some areas where the finish (shellac?) either chipped off or smeared, but it's pretty nice overall. The bore is shiny with good lands & grooves, and I don't have gauges to measure but the informal bullet test says muzzle wear should be well under 2. Haven't gotten to shoot it yet though. Gotta clean off some gunk, and I'll probably wait for the weather to warm up just a bit before hitting the range. Oh man I can't wait!
