Need a Spot
My '95 with now 150,000 miles is having clutch problems. We recently replaced the slave cylinder, because it had sprung a small leak, and after that it's started to act up.
When the clutch is pushed to the floor the pressure seems to leave and the clutch slowly engages while the petal is still being held to the floor.

When I release the clutch petal, the next time I push the clutch in, it works fine again for the first time, then looses pressure like before and starts engaging the clutch, assuming you hold the clutch in.

also, sometimes the clutch will engage REALLY prematurely when I'm engaging the clutch with the truck in gear.

We've bled the clutch just like is says so in the haynes...
Any suggestions?

If you have bled the system and replaced the slave cyl then the only thing left is the clutch cyl. You should get the same action each time you push in the clutch. If not, the one cyl or the other is failing. Give that a shot.. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

If it's been bled properly and still has the problem; it's the clutch cylinder up top that's bad.
