Hopefully someone can help me out. I have an 87 raider 4x4 with manual trans and it is federal emis not high altitude. I have been driving this thing for 2 years now with carb problems, IE wouldnt idle smooth and cuts out at about 3100 RPM`s or higher with loss of power. I can barely go 55-60 on a flat surface. Anyway i just replaced the carb with a brand new oem and it idles great but i still have the power loss problem. I double checked all the vacuum lines and replaced so far the coil, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, 02 sensor, removed cat, checked for air leaks and still no good. Another problem is when i checked the timing and it is reading 15-20 deg advanced at idle warm and the distributor is turned as far as i can get it to go. If i go the other way with it, it will just advance more. Any help would be appreciated. Also i want to say what a great forum as i just read about 30 posts for the last 5 hours. any help would be appreciated.
