Video is good but digital camera with a intervalometer that will take a picture ever few seconds might be better. I've seen video footage and it's not great for ID.

Sure would be great to get a dummy car and load it up with goodies. I have a junker fried motherboard laptop if you need it <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Bait they can't resist! Have the car rigged with lots of lighting. A simple glass break detector could trigger the lights.

Also try getting the local news "investigative reporter" on your side. Maybe they would do a 60's minutes sting for you.


Other idea's, see how much a private security company will charge to patrol your lot a few times. If you can get enough people to fork over $10 or $20 it might cover it ever month.
