well another problem with the 0G troops is that not only do you have very little power, you have a pitiful low range of 1.87:1.

I would defnately try to squeeze some more power out of it. throw in a delta cam (regrind for torque), a free-flowing exhaust, and maybe an upgraded ignition. I had pretty good results with a jacobs ignition on my old 2.8 v6. Might want to think about just going to 31" tire if you are going to be driving in the hills.
