If you search using the following parameters, you'll find gobbs of info:

keywords: +SAS
forums to search: Isuzu forums
date range: newer than 4 years
result format: 200 results to show per page

Check out the Isuzu archives as well. A lot of people have done this swap; but there is no 'set' way to do it or bolt-on kit available. Most go with a 70's Wagoneer D44 and leaf springs; but there are quite a few variations. All kinds of information already out there and ready for reading.

The most common swap uses a Jeep Wagoneer or J-10 front Dana 44 axle (1974-79). The basic parts you need can be found here. You can find the details of the basic spring hangers by searching the above link.

Coilovers are by far the least cheap option. If you want cheap, 70's Wagoneer D44 and leaf springs from the same vehicle is about as cheap as you can go. A leaf-sprung setup is also the 'easiest' to design because the leaves both locate the axle and act as springs. Using coils, coilovers, or air shocks will require designing and buildin some kind of linked suspension... and that takes a lot more know-how to do correctly. I'd really encourage you to read through as many past threads on this as you can. If you're asking what coilovers entail, then you're a lot of research away from actually building anything. That is not meant as a slam, its just the truth of the matter that this is a big project and spending some hours reading the experiences of those who have come before you can only serve to improve your final product.

I shortened the link spacecab90 posted so the screen wouldn't be so wide; but its definitely an excellent start to your SAS journey: SAS Threads

The rear axle will depend on what tire size you are wanting to run. If you are going 1/2 ton stuff (D44) up front, your stock rear axle (Isuzu 12-bolt) will handle anything the front axle will. If you are wanting to run 42's, then its time to move up to 1 ton stuff front and rear.
