From 18 mpg average to 15 mpg average this Winter. Some is due to warming up, some is due to thick fluids during warm up, MUCH is due to poor fuel quality we are forced to use during the Winter in an attempt to stifle emissions.

Here's the issue that I perceive; the drop in economy negates any benefit in emissions.

I'd really like to see a single blend fuel for all of the US. It would reduce the cost to produce and level out the emissions discussions to the point that (imho) better research could be conducted.

4runner went from about 24mpg to about 20 mpg.
pickup went from about 18 to about 16.
dunno what exactly does it, but it does, and its about normal.
