I'd just get an aftermarket temp gauge. Every car I ever own pretty much immediatly gets fitted with a new temp gauge (mechanical type). Especially over here in oz, where high temps mean hotter running vehicles. For a few bucks i'd rather have that extra insurance that my vehicle is running cool and not boiling it's guts out and cracking heads.
