Getting the Wheeling Fever
Hello,

I've wanted a limited slip/locker in the front of my Raider for years. But, I didn't think there were any that would fit. Thanks to this board, I now know that ARB's RD110 will fit. THANK YOU

But, while I've got one differential disassembled, it would be a good time to change to lower gears. From reading the archives, it seems the 5.29 gears for the front ('89, V6) are in short supply or unavailable. But some newer posts gave me hope that some may be available.

So, in short, is there any where I can buy a set (front, and rear) of 5.29 ring and pinion gears for my 1989 Raider with a V6 and manual transmission?

Get in touch with Mister Bishi and see this thread. I got mine two years ago. As far as I know, he might still be able to get them.

Roll Me Over
I tried hailing Frank a few months ago regarding this, but no reply. Hopefully, it's just a case of falling off the radar.

Thanks for the input. I tried e-mailing Mister Bishi. But, like DougB, I didn't get a response. I guess I'll have to wait on the lower gears.

See if you can look him up on http://www.outerlimits4x4.com (I can't remember his username, but he hangs out there).

It's looking good. Frank got back to me and says the gears are available. So, it looks like can get a front locker AND lower gears. smile My wife even said I could replace my warn rear LSD with a another ARB locker. What a gal!

She did!? Marry that woman!!!

Oh wait...you already did. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Good to hear! If you go through with it you'll love 'em. To cap-off the deal, if better wheeling is your goal you might want to look into upgrading the t-case gears from the stock 1.925 ratio to the 2.85 ratio also. Those really make a huge difference on the trail. Frank handles those as well.

Good luck! Nice to see another rig getting built up! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
