ok back on topic my 94 pickup had 269k on it original motor and i started gettin water in the oil. so thinkin that i had blown a head gasket or worpt the head i took it apart had the head rebuilt and machined, replaced the gaskets put it back together and it still was getting water in the oil. so i figured it must be a cracked block and i replaced the engine. after gettin the truck up and running again i herd about how the plastic guides for the TC have a habit of breaking and sure enough when i took the old motor apart the guides were gone and the chain rubbed right through into the water pump. WISH I KNEW THAT EARLIER --- DOUG

I made a new MAN LAW. You are not allowed to call back on topic when it's not your thread.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience but what does that have to do with chain failures or bent valves or anything else in this thread?
