Jake's experience with the Warn's is more common than not, especially if you use 4wd very often. I've seen it on all the Toyota's I've worked on that had them (at least 4 that I can think of), including my own so I know they were maintained halfway decently. I swapped them out for Aisins.

The factory hub retention design (using cone washers) is far superior, and doesn't NEED any maintenance. Factory Aisin hubs are definitely the best way to go for a Toyota. Yes, the cone washers can be a pain to remove if you don't use anti-seize on them, but they were designed that way on purpose! This is why they use the same retention system on all-important steering components on Dana and Toyota axles (and probably others).

I like the Warn Premiums on my D44, but they don't have any bolts to loosen up. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />
