Well my Brother has been shopping around for a trooper, He really likes the 1st gen RS, we found one out in Chicago that we were going to fly out and get, after purchasing plane tickets and throwing down a deposit the, dealer sold the thing out from under him. Anyone know who got it? it was nice only had 69K on it....

Anyway, we kept looking and he just bought this guy yesterday off of ebay..

Says it has transimission problems(5speed) so hoping its just hte clutch. We are picking it up Saturday. Pretty excited about the whole thing, even though its not mine.

More info and pics to come

Peace
Joel

Hah yah i cant believe the price, i hope its not to messed up, i told him to buy it asap before someone else did, i figured someone on here would snag that thing up quick haha..

Smiley the lift will be taking place immediately, as soon as we get it drivable, the little baby tires, and those ugly as sin wheels will be getting replaced by something in the 33-35 inch range..

More details to come!

My bro and i just found a 40'x15' we will be renting, finally i dont have to work in the mud anymore(no more getting shocked by the welder haha)

Not sure in VA.. but here in TX, my shop rents for 700 a month(ALOT cheaper than anywhere else I have looked)..

That doesnt include insurances, electric, etc..

mine is 60 ft X 23ish(inside dimensions), with about 20X10 being office space.. I also have a second floor which is where teh powder coat oven and room, compressors, etc are, that is 10 x60...

Its also right off a MAJOR thruway...

Good luck up there bro, dont know if you are looking to jswut rent it long enough to utilize it for yourself, then move on, or it you are going to make some money out of there.., but, good luck...

Well, the shop is down in Fredericksburg, which is about 30 miles south of where i am, out in the middle of nowhere. Its got 220, and 110, No AC, but it does have heat. Electricity is included, there are bathrooms in the complex that are shared with the other units.

ready...

$263 a month...

I have a buddy that wants to store some stuff there, so we are splitting it three ways, so basically, its free

Gotta get some insurance i guess..

Yeah, thats "Garage Keepers Liability", or similar name in your area. That protects YOU should someone leave your shop, and get into a wreck, and try to sue YOU(since you were the last one to work on the vehicle)..

The only other thing I can offer is this.

FIRST, get your DBA(Doing Business As)...

Get your papers filled with the town/county/state for taxes(Tax Id Number)...

And this is just a recommendation, but, keep a seperate account just for the shop, if you use a DBA, a regular checking account will work, and you can add signers..

Anyway, good luck bro... its kinda stressfull and painfull.. but also well worth it...

Well, we dont plan on working on other peoples cars, this isnt to make money(for now) its just a place to work on our own vehicles. I need more room, and my bro lives in a townhouse with nowhere to work. Thanks for the great info though!!!
