Getting the Wheeling Fever
i have an 86 cj7 six cylinder automatic hard top. im considering selling it and buying my friends wrangler as its much more comfortable in the winter. you have probably read my recent posts telling about the problems it had. all of the problems are fixed now thank god! the jeep runs and drives good. i drive it daily.

here are the details:
86 cj7
black with white top
110000 miles
six cylinder
automatic
hard top
bikini top
full hard doors with roll down windows
30 x10.50 tsl (less than 10000 miles)mounted on factory chrome wagon wheels

the transmission was completely rebuilt by a proffessional shop in late spring 2006.
new factory style exhaust last winter
new 3 core radiator
all glass is good
top is in good condition
does not have a spare
new gas tank last winter
has a small spot of rust on the door (otherwise rust free)
the top of the hood is warped (could be fixed but not by me)
heater works
all lights work
wipers work
front seats need reupolstered
back seat is fine although not bolted down (all hardware is there)
new warn lockouts last winter
homemade front and back bumpers
has a working digital radio (its just wired to the dash because the dash hasnt been cut yet and i didnt have the heart to cut it myself)
the floor boards are rust free (kinda ugly though, came from the factory with carpet and the previous owner ripped it out and the glue is still there)

so whatcha think its worth?

I bought mine in the same condition but with no rust and a perfectly straight body. It also came with a new back seat and a set of tj hard doors still in the packaging that I sold for $800 on ebay. I paid $5500. But now I wouldn't part with it for less than $10k. And maybe not even then. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Depending on where it is, I'd be interested in the hard top and the hard doors, if you'd consider selling those separately.

im located in southeast missouri, close to arkansas. i would only consider selling the top and doors if i had the jeep sold without them already. make an offer on them and ill think about it.

I'm in Michigan, so the shipping cost would be prohibitive. I was hoping you were within driving distabnce.

Yeah, and I do mean TOPS. Semi decent unbuilt CJ7's such as yours are really a dime a dozen.
