Ever heard the expression, "I would rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6." If it is a case of self defense, you have every right in the world to protect yourself. I keep several weapons on hand at ALL times and if people really knew what went on in this world, they would too. As for concealment in your vehicle, I use a hard plastic Uncle Mikes' form holster that is mounted underneath my driver's seat on the right hand side for quick access. It is secure and out of the way. Most theives look under the seats for valuables and the holster is mounted so that you would have to be looking for it to find it. It works pretty good!

Anyway we can see a picture of this and get some more details on this holster?

Well, I just got back from the store and from standing in front of the mile of holsters they have, I didn't see anything that works for me. If I recall correctly, I think it was KCRunner(?) that mentioned having a rig mounted somewhere near his console.
If I can't find anything, I may end up getting some visquene<sp?> and form it in some hot water to make a "pouch", then line it with foam.
If I had to verbally desribe what I'm thinking, I am working towards a legal, non-concealed (very liberal interpretation here in AZ) holster that would be mounted on or near the console, close to my calf or thigh, right side, hence the need for a lefty holster if I use a stocker.
I hate to sound like as ass, and please don't take it this way, but let's try to stay closer to topic here so this isn't moved where it could lose exposure. I'd really like to see (pictures anyone?) what others ideas are. That being said, EClayton, be smart, find a gun club, take a couple of safety courses and shoot a rental before you decide to drop the kind of money an enthusiast does. I'm probably 10 to 12K deep in guns. Just because .

Gun collecting may be something I get into in a few years.

I've got a Para P12 in a Galco IWB that wedges between the console and drivers seat pretty well, but it's still visible.
I've experimented w/ under seat mounts, but the weight of a high-cap .45 tends to prove Isaac Newton's theories of mass and inertia, so that it either ends up under my heels or in the back seat.
I also have a mouse gun Beretta in a Kramer wallet holster that works great w/ a little velcro. As under-armed as this gun is, it sure is a handy rig to carry around.
