Solved my problem. Went to the wreckers (u-pull) and located I believe an89 or so Toyota van (what ever the model name is, I call them "Momma Taxi"). It had an identical looking altenator as in my 87 22re 4x4 except for the serpentine pulley. This van was loaded, AC, power this and that. Went to the yard office and on the computor determined the alt. was 100amp. Grabbed it along with the large amp fusible link. Went home changed pulleys installed it and it worked mint. Cost was $35 canadian plus $5 core. Probably translates to $25-30 US$ <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
