I have got a 98 xtra cab V6 and am looking into replacing the spark plugs. The question I have is what is the best to get "performance" or oem? People seem to say that the performance spark plugs perform no better than stock and that stock replacements would be fine. What do you guys/girls typically use for spark plugs?

Unless you've got a turbo or are supercharged, there's no real performance gain in getting Platinum or Iridium plugs. Just stay with your dual electrode Denso or NGK plugs and you'll be golden.

Where can I get the best prices at? Do I need anything in addition to the plugs to swap them out?

Need a Spot
I put denso plugs in my 3.4 T100. I got them from sparkplugs.com. They were a good price and fast shipping.I couldnt find ngk or denso in the local parts stores that would fit.

OEM all the way; stay away from the so called "performance" spark plug.

I get most of my stuff from trdparts4u.com. Some of the best prices on the net as well as great customer service.
