its the same with hot rodders. i've seen hotrods and what not with 600hp motors get spanked by 283s with maybe 300hp

the car with 283's had lower tranny gears and lower diff gears with a spool and simply utilized the full rpm range and quick shifts and made it to the end sooner. it was even clocked at 7 mph slower, but half a second faster.

its all about gears and lines with these babys. lower that ratio, lock up the axles, and you have incredable torque ratings, easier controlled speeds, and double the traction.
