You will definately want rocksliders, a good front bumper, a good rear bumper(with side wraps), a good solid skid plate, preferably a rear locker, and a second t-case. The last two aren't vital, but will make your trip more enjoyable. A few yrs ago in a buddies rig we did about 1/2 of it 2wd, some by choice and most by force(blew a birf at Buick Island and didn't want to change it out until we goy to Spider Lake).

When you do run it, try and set aside atleast 4 days, it can be done in a weekend, and some do it in a day, but running it this way will take a toll on your truck and you.


More than tread lightly. Leave it like you were never there, nor anyone else.
