That is a much clearer description...thankyou. My Ford has two temp sensors. One is for the gauge. The other is for the computer to tell it what the coolant temp is. If THAT one goes out the computer is confused and keeps the engine in a too rich condition.
I cannot remember if your engine has two of them or not. I doubt an oxy sensor would cause this problem from low temp.
Someone else on here will have a better answer..perhaps.

Pete had posted a link to this ARRC site in the Jeep Talk forum, that is pretty good and has wiring diagrams and everything on it, I wasn't sure how to post a link to his post so here is a link to the site.

http://arrc.epnet.com/autoasp/index.asp?sid=3041639&uid=s9072919.main.autorefctr

Cut and paste that into IE, I looked it has wiring diagrams, and may help ya out.

I was thinking though, if this relay is tripping and cutting the fuel pump off, have you tried jumping the relay to see if it starts, or removing the relay? I would imagine once you can trace out what connects to the relay on the wiring diagram though, it would help too.

Hope this helps.

Sean

when i say tripping i mean turning on. what do you all think about, that there is moisture in the computer.

So why not just remove the relay then if it is shutting down the pump?

That rellay is prolly what turns ON the pump! Removed or shorted out and the vehicle will NOT move!

Does your ck engine light stay on after it starts? If so have you checked your codes to see what they show?
