Need a Spot
On my Rodeo I have been having a problem that I feel could be the starter or possibly a lose / dirty ground. When I turn the key it will either start or there is a click sound
(just one click not a clicking <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />)as I continue to turn and release the key it either starts or clicks. Some times it will start on the third try, sometimes on the second try, and somtimes on the twentieth try, and so on. Eventually it will probablty not start <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/evil.gif" alt="" />. Please let me know what you all think <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />.

Also let me know if there is a link to starter R&R. The manual says that exhaust [color:"red"]may [/color] have to be removed to get it out.

Thanks,
Tom <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" />

Roll Me Over
Sounds like the contacts in the starter need replaced. To be honest I don't know if the contacts in your starter can be replaced or not. I know the 97 Rodeo can be.

When it finally doesn start does it seem to be getting enough juice from the battery?

Sometimes when you have a low battery it will make a clicking sound when you try to start it.
