I just tried that too. I cut the lines, not the clamp part. I cut the inside of the AT line which let the pressure get to the outer line. It burst the outside of the line. I was in town, so I cut the line past the split and put it back on. Holding for 250 miles so far. I am putting some used Mitsu lines on when they get here.
