quick history: my 4runner has a vibe in the rear at speeds of 65+. It's smooth as glass any speed below. It has a custom CV rear Dshaft that was locally made. Angles are perfect. I even had the rear tires shaved by a big rig shop.

Today I got tired of it, and figured I've done everything in the book, so I took the driveshaft to a different local Powertrain place. After the counter guys looked at it for a few seconds they already found some imperfections/issues with it. They're saying the CV is worn out, it shouldn't "fall" or flop around losely. and some other little thing. I'll find out tomorrow what the real deal is on it when they electronically ballance it and give me a recomendation on what to do. SO it looks like Driveshaft is most likely the cause of the vibe. Can't wait to hear what they say tomorrow after really working on it.

figured I'd post it up, being There have been a few members on here with similar vibration problems like myself.
