just checking in. i've been working a lot on the project over the last couple days full-time at my buddy's garage, trying to add all the finishing touches to the flat deck. I'll let the photos do the talk. My buddy's recent purchase: 90 x-cab + an EXPENSIVE pop-top roof tent!!! Did I mention expensive btw??? ![[Linked Image]](http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/allochris/CIMG7313.jpg) Me: ![[Linked Image]](http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/allochris/CIMG7349.jpg) Deep cycle Battery tray: ![[Linked Image]](http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/allochris/CIMG7320.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/allochris/CIMG7337.jpg) Spare Gas Storage with the stock gas door key lock: ![[Linked Image]](http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/allochris/CIMG7324.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/allochris/CIMG7340.jpg) How about a 6 wheel drive toyota! ![[Linked Image]](http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/allochris/CIMG7356.jpg)

Rear bumper with hi-lift mount with full-size 33x9.5 spare: ![[Linked Image]](http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/allochris/CIMG7389.jpg) Deck config.: ![[Linked Image]](http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/allochris/CIMG7388.jpg) This is about a 800-900lbs load sitting on the deck. Lookin' good! You might want to pop by an RV or marine shop and get yourself a plastic top for protecting the battery posts from shorting on anything, provided you've got clearance. A thought.

1. Is it possible to wire 2 100amp solenoid in parallel to handle the load of a single 200amp solenoid? No. You will wire it up and it will work, but the very second one set of contacts gets a bit ohmic, most of the current goes through the other solenoid. Not good. At full load one will poof, followed in short order by the other. You can get 200A solenoids cheap enough, Google is your friend.

Thanks Bill. Right now the dual batteries system is hooked up together with one cheap 80amps continuous solenoid. As I'll need more accessories amp draws when the camper is done, I'll look into those 200A solenoid if needed. Progress today: a bike rack! ![[Linked Image]](http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/allochris/CIMG7404.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l37/allochris/CIMG7405.jpg)

I weighted myself yesterday at 4200lbs with gas tank almost full, pickup box, spare tire, 2 people (300lbs) and stuff (100lbs) in the truck yesterday. That should work out to about 3800lbs curb weight, box/gas/spare included, minus 2 people & stuff. I weighted myself again yesterday on the way back from skiing at 4312lbs (2365 front/1947 rear), with 2 people (300lbs), 50lbs ski gear, half full gas tank, spare. So I assume my new vehicle weight with spare & full tank is now around: 4312 - 300 - 50 + 35 = 3997 lbs. So I guess the combo of my flatdeck/hi-lift/full size spare is about 200lbs heavier!
