I would think R&R'ing the washer tank should be easy...

No help on the other items... sorry. You still have your old truck, or did Les's vultures carry it away <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Thanks Eric. I'll let you all know how the tank works out. I still have "Bubba Blue".

Quote
Cool, wish I could find a V6!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I can help with the antenna...

Thanks for the offer but I think I'm just gonna pull my old one off my other rig.

Quote
Right on! Ray.

Wheres your LWB? The blue one that I had seen on the Rubicon, that helped guide my decision to buy a Montero. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Actually I still have her. Will rebuild her but for now I have a wheelable rig with the red one.

Quote
Looks like you need a radio antenna also. Great find! And definitely <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> for Caps for helping you out with the acquisition!

Yup. Noted the antenna. Yup, owe Carlos for finding this one... although he has some cash for his next aquisition right now.

Quote
Gosh darn it.. I need my Turbo truck back on the road again now <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

I'm sure she'll be back on the road soon. All you need are bud's like I have here egging me on every time they see me. Then there's Carlos and Russell who call me every other week to make sure I don't spend to much on my other hobbies so I can get a monty again.

Quote
Russ has an LSD axle near you that I know hasn't been installed yet. Ask him if he's tired of tripping over it <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Actually I have an ARB I'll be repairing and putting in.

Quote
Looks good Ray.
Give me a call I may have what you need on My parts 89 Raider.

Thanks for the generous offer Michael. Since you're the closest, I may be dropping by soon. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Congrats ! Any chance you will want to do the Mojave Road in the fall?

Sweet looking Cali truck, no rust <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Quite possibly Les. I've been thinking about it since you posted your pics and mentioned the trip planning but was less sure because I didn't have a running rig. Now that I do...

Quote
I am just glad to see you up and running again Ray! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> I hope we can hit some trails soon! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Soon is an understatement but like I mentioned today top priority is getting her running well enough to go off road which means the steering is top priority. Of course a full set of fluids will go into her.

After that is the armor and other off road necessities.

Nice find Ray! Welcome back! Being a webwheeler is not all its cracked up to be... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" />

You'll love the shorty - no more long <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/butwiggle.gif" alt="" /> and low gastank to drag over things. Now you can dent your little gas tank, and do the Mitsu flop a little less gracefully (shorties tend to do the weight shift thing on three weheels a little sooner/faster, so be prepared). Hillclimbs are not quite as good, and downhills are a little trickier, but overall the extra maneuverability is awesome. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Keep us posted on the mods that you do...

But now you have TWO Monteros at the same time? Uh-oh. You know where that leads right? Pretty soon you'll be gettting a genII, doing a turbo project and driving a Honda!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Body Damage is Cool
You will have a problem purchasing from Montero as they only go back to 1990 now. You may get parts for the Dodge Raider, sam vehicle (1984-1989). Or you can get the part number from Dodge then get a used part from a scrap yard.

I am very seriously thinking about coming out there for that trip. I hope you can make it.

Might this be a dig at Brendan? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

I noticed this yesterday. I went to a couple places to get an air filter and the catalogs only go back to 1990 now. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Upgrades so far...
- 32x11.5" MT's (my first set of MT's from long ago!!)

Maintenance items...
- replaced some burnt out bulbs and adjusted the headlight level
- replaced rear shoes but I now need to re-adjust the e-brake.

Cosmetic stuff
- seat covers for front seats
- replaced worn center arm rest w/ a fresher one.

Upcoming mod's / fixes
- fixing steering (missing major rubber parts)
- preparing to install car stereo/mp3/cd player.
- also figuring out where the GPS mount will go.
- front & rear bumper swap coming up.
- 2" body lift on order (picking up next week).

Will try and post updated pics in a day or two. Tomorrow I have to get her registered/title transferred.

Nice SWB, Ray! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> It looks sorta like my Raider when I first brought it home.... all red and all... but no rust or big dents. I hope you have fun with it.... much better than a LWB, ya know. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> [ducking]
