Ok guys, I got the engine tore down to the block now. After pulling the head i realized that the 2 of the intake valves had a whole lot of carbon on them. The hyd lifters were making a lot of noise lately and i guess my comression loss was due to the int valves not seating properly. I also found out that this thing has a BSE kit installed already and i see cross hatch marks on all the cylinders still. Regardless i am still going to inside mic the bore to make sure it is good before i put the head on. I am also going to replace the chain and gears while im in there. The next main question i have is: Should i order the clearwater head with the mechanical rockers or the hydraulic one? Will the mech rocker head work just fine? I dont mind adjusting them every so often.
