I've got a new 07 tacoma on order, it gets here in 3 weeks. I've been looking at the differences, and really learning about how heavy the T-100 was built.

I'm gonna miss the old bird, Just did the last oil change this weekend.

The Taco's are a half bigger than the older taco's, they are mid sized very close to what a dakota is.

I won't be able to get 3 deer and my hauler into the Taco that's for sure, I may have to get a extra thing to haul a deer on the trailer hitch.

Taco vs T100, hmm.
Less load capacity, less towing capacity, worse gas mileage & a skinny bed.

Yippee.

More HP/torque and a 5spd auto or 6spd manual on the Taco. And beefier IFS drivetrain (high pinion 8" ring gear, 30 spline axles, etc.). Factory rear LSD or locker options. Quad or access cab...

Keep those options but build it like a T100 and I'd be all over it. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I agree Erik, it always amazed me they didnt use the LC 4.5L inline 6 in the T100..it would have faired alot better.

Honestly thats the swap I will do when its fully built up and I have money to burn and nothing else really left.

Nice 5 speed and LC 4.5L V6 or 4.7L V8 swap.

Does the new Taco have C-Channel frame or boxed?

I'll be putting my T100 up for sale in a couple of weeks. I just put new front axles in it last spring. I was planning to hold on to it for 2 more years, got a promotion 6 months ago so I made the leap and ordered the new taco.

As soon as I pick up the new Taco. I just got the BFG AT KO's for my new truck today 265/75R16.. 5 each ouch!

I'll have to put the rugged trails that come on the taco up for sale, the dealer's offered me 500 for them. I'm entertaining using it to buy a ARB bull bar for the taco.
