I have a new-to-me '05 Tundra with the V8. ~22K miles and an apparently-fresh oil change. My oil pressure gauge never gets above the half-way point (needle flat horizontal), even doing 70 mph up a mountain or 90 on the interstate. It is often down around the 1/4 mark if idling or easy driving.
The manual seems to say this is within the operating range, but it seems like it is down at the lower end of the OK range. It never gets above the half-way mark.
Is this what other folks are seeing?
TIA

The 3.4L seems to operate under the same conditions as well, during idle it shows hardly any pressure at all, anything above that its never higher than half way...

Its just a Toyota thing. You'd think they'd set up the guage so that that the normal readings were a little more confidence-inspiring...
Anyone I've ever heard of who actually measured the oil pressure found that it was in spec when the Toy guage read that way.
