Which trannys? Which year 4.0? It doesn't matter, the answer to both Q's is no.

are there any other tranny's that will bolt up to my 4 cyl. other than the stock one? I have been through 4 of the stock tranny's and they r the worst tranny's ive ever seen, so I was looking for something I could try instead, but I want it to be a standard, no auto's.

your best bet is to check out advanc adapters and see what they may have for that engine to adapt a different tranny to.
out of all the jeeps in this town the d**n gremlin had to invade mine
I've done so much, with so little for so long i can practicly do anything with nothing

I know there are other options but can't tell you what they are off hand. I believe the bell housing bolt pattern is a GM design. The AX-5 (what I guess you have) bell housing is good for nothing else as far as I know. Sorry I can't say more, Calling the Adapter people (Novak or Advance Adapters) might be a good idea, They might suggest more than one alternative. Good luck!
