92 22re, stock replacement plugs and wires, re-adjusted TPS, cleaned VAF meter and checked resistances; OK. eliminated EGR valve that goes from back of head to back of intake plenum along with eliminating most of the VSV egr stuff. all of that done 3-4 months prior. cant think of any thing changed with in those 3-4 months.
other thing to note is the exhaust is open way to much, ~4' 2.5" pipe to magna flow with a larger 4-2-1 header. i hate it, its way to loud and sounds horrible(but its all i could do when the last one was removed in about 3 seconds flat)

well i was running a load to the dump(around 700 lbs) in my yota and was in third holding her at 3500 or so and my check engine light pops on and the exhaust stated to sound like hell. Also the engine sounded like it was pinging and knocking at the same damn time!!!???

well i ran the code and knock sensor came up. now recently (has happened two-three times) a new effect that only happens when starting cold. Start truck cold, like in the morning before work, and does the norm, but about the time it would be idling down and i happen to stop at a light or what not and i go to hit the throttle and it acts like the distributor is 180 out, miss fire, spit, sputter but doesn't die completly, as soon as i take my foot of the throttle and let it ldle goes right back to the knock and ping at the same time thing again, as if nothing happened.

so from what i have read there is just a ton of stuff that could cause the knock sensor to flag a code. i have checked alot of the stuff but wondering if anybody could narrow it down a bit more for me, cause 180 bucks just aint very easy to come by these days.

thanks a bunch
